Sea Nettle [Chrysaora lactea]
Description
Chrysaora lactea is typically seen as a pale, milky-looking jellyfish with a delicate, translucent bell and trailing tentacles. Divers may encounter it drifting through open water or near coastal habitats where currents bring plankton and food within reach. Because jellyfish tentacles can extend farther than they appear, it’s best to observe from a safe gap.
