Catostylus ornatellus [Catostylus ornatellus]
Description
This species is a striking, patterned jellyfish that can look almost decorative as it floats just below the surface. Underwater, its bell movements are subtle but rhythmic, and the tentacles trail gracefully with the flow. Divers may notice it in sheltered bays or along rocky coastlines where plankton-rich water supports frequent sightings.
