Blind Cirrate Octopus [Cirrothauma murrayi]
Description
As its name suggests, this cirrate octopus is adapted to life in very dim conditions, moving with a calm, drifting style rather than quick bursts. Under suitable lighting, divers can sometimes spot its trailing cirri and subtle body posture as it glides through the deep, using its senses to navigate.
