Dinner Plate Medusa [Solmissus marshalli]
Description
This striking jellyfish often looks like a small, flat “plate” drifting through the water column. Divers may spot it slowly pulsing as it floats, with delicate tentacles trailing beneath like fine threads. It’s a great find for photographers because its shape and gentle movement stand out against the seafloor.
