Flowerpot Coral [Goniopora stokesi]
Description
Goniopora stokesi, commonly known as the Flowerpot Coral, is a species of stony coral in the family Poritidae. It is found in shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It has a round, mound-shaped appearance with tentacles that resemble a field of flowers, hence the common name. It is a popular species in the aquarium trade but is considered difficult to keep due to its specific light and feeding requirements.
