Valenciennea [Valenciennea]
Description
Divers often spot these small, sand-dwelling gobies hovering just at the entrance of their burrows. With quick darting movements, they scan for food and retreat into the sand when approached, creating a lively “pop-in, pop-out” behavior on sandy bottoms.
