Triaenodon [Triaenodon]
Description
Triaenodon (reef sharks, often recognized as whitetip reef sharks) are frequently seen near coral heads and rocky overhangs. Divers may notice them tucked into crevices or patrolling the reef edge, where their slender bodies and alert posture make them look almost “stationed” in place.
