Scorpaenopsis [Scorpaenopsis]
Description
Scorpaenopsis (scorpionfish) are masters of camouflage, often looking like a patch of reef rubble or a piece of rock. Divers may find them tucked into crevices or perched on the seafloor, where their spines and mottled colors make them nearly invisible until you’re close.
