Pomatoleios [Pomatoleios]

Description
Pomatoleios includes species of serpulid worms that construct tough, sandy tubes. These worms are often found in intertidal zones and shallow waters, where they attach to rocks and other hard surfaces. Their tubes are unique in having a sandpaper-like texture, due to the incorporation of sand grains and shell fragments.
