Heteractis [Heteractis]
Description
Heteractis anemones are classic reef anemones, often with broad, colorful tentacles that form a soft “carpet” over the substrate. Divers frequently encounter them in sheltered reef zones, where their tentacles wave in the flow and can provide shelter for symbiotic fish and other small marine life.
