Eretmochelys [Eretmochelys]
Description
Eretmochelys—often associated with hawksbill sea turtles—are famous for their ability to slip into reef crevices. Divers may see them picking through coral rubble and sponge-rich areas with their narrow, pointed beaks. Their patterned shell and deliberate movements make them a memorable sight, especially when they forage close to the reef.
