Dome Coral [Sandalolitha]

Description

Sandalolitha dome corals grow as sturdy, rounded “caps” that can resemble miniature boulders on the reef. Divers are often drawn to their subtle ridges and the way the coral’s shape creates shaded pockets where tiny organisms can hide.
