Blue Corals [Heliopora]
Description
Heliopora, often called blue corals, forms sturdy, branching or plate-like colonies that stand out with their distinctive blue tones. Underwater, divers may spot these corals as living “structures” that create shelter for small reef fish and invertebrates. Their tough skeleton helps them persist in reef environments where conditions can be dynamic.
