Tube-Dwelling Anemones [Cerianthidae]

Description

These anemones live in long, flexible tubes in sandy or muddy bottoms, extending their tentacles like a soft underwater fountain. When you approach carefully, you may see the tentacles retract quickly into the tube, then reappear as the area settles.
