Rhizangia Corals [Rhizangiidae]
Description
Rhizangiidae are less familiar corals that divers may spot as unusual, often encrusting or small patchy growths on rocky or reef surfaces. They’re subtle compared to showier corals, but they add texture and microhabitats in crevices and shaded areas.
