Hair Jellies [Drymonematidae]
Description
Drymonematidae, also known as hair jellies, are a relatively rare and poorly understood family of jellyfish. They are characterized by their long, hair-like tentacles, which can extend several meters from their bell. These jellyfish are found in both deep and shallow waters of tropical and subtropical regions. Hair jellies are known for their beautiful, often translucent appearance, and despite their delicate looks, they are effective predators, using their tentacles to ensnare plankton and small fishes.
