Brittle stars (Ambuloasteroidea group) [Ambuloasteroidea]
Description
Ambuloasteroidea are brittle stars—star-shaped echinoderms with flexible, arm-like “legs” that move with quick, snakelike motion. Divers commonly see them tucked under rocks or in crevices, emerging to scuttle along the seafloor when disturbed.
