
Persian Gulf
The Persian Gulf is a mediterranean sea in Western Asia. The body of water is an extension of the Indian Ocean (via the Strait of Hormuz) and lies between Iran to the northeast and the Arabian Peninsula to the southwest. The Shores of Iran, including the islands of Qeshm and Kish, offer a variety of dive sites ranging from shallow coral reefs to deep underwater wrecks. The region is known for its warm waters, diverse marine life, and historical underwater sites.
