Description

Often referred to as 'The Zoo,' this vibrant Somosomo Strait site lives up to its name with an incredible density of marine life. Swim-throughs and natural caverns add an element of exploration as you navigate through schools of fish, reef sharks, and the occasional manta ray.

Jan Known for its strong currents and vibrant soft corals. Possible plankton blooms.

Mar Rainy season ending, visibility improving. Soft corals are always a highlight.
Apr Dry season begins. Visibility improves, showcasing the colorful soft corals.

Jun Still good visibility. Currents can be strong, attracting pelagics.
Jul Currents can be more pronounced, good for drift diving and seeing larger fish.

Sep Transitioning to warmer waters. Visibility remains good.
Oct Visibility starts to decrease slightly as the season changes. Soft corals still vibrant.
Nov Rainy season begins. Currents can be strong, and visibility can be reduced.
Dec Rainy season in full swing. Visibility can be poor. Currents are still a factor.
