Description

Mushroom Reef, near Likoma Island, lives up to its name with unique, bulbous rock formations that create an otherworldly underwater landscape. This vibrant reef is a haven for a multitude of marine species, from dazzling tropical fish to camouflaged octopuses and graceful moray eels.

Oct Good visibility and warmer water, ideal for observing the abundance of cichlids.
Nov Pre-rainy season, excellent visibility and warm water, peak cichlid activity.
Dec Early rainy season, visibility can be affected by sediment, but cichlid populations remain vibrant.
