This dynamic and active diving club, comprising approximately 80 enthusiastic members, proudly operates under the affiliation of the BSAC (British Sub Aqua Club). It offers a complete and progressive training program, meticulously designed to cater to divers of all experience levels, from complete novices taking their inaugural steps into the underwater world to seasoned advanced divers seeking to push their boundaries. Training is conducted in a well-equipped 2-meter pool, providing a controlled and safe environment for skill development, and extends to a variety of inland dive sites, offering diverse aquatic landscapes. For those seeking the thrill of the ocean, sea diving experiences are also a regular feature.
The club fosters a vibrant community spirit through an extensive calendar of dive trips organized throughout the year. These excursions encompass explorations within the rich and varied waters of the UK, as well as exciting international adventures to warmer climes. The collective diving activity of the club members is impressive, with well over 800 dives logged annually, showcasing the dedication and passion of its members. Beyond the underwater pursuits, the club places a strong emphasis on camaraderie and social engagement. A variety of social events are thoughtfully organized, including lively barbecue parties, engaging brewery tours, enjoyable curry nights, and the cherished 'traditional' Christmas get-together, ensuring that the bonds within the club extend far beyond the dive sites.
